Glasgow’s Quail + AISHA return for 3rd Soma EP
Glasgow Techno stalwarts Quail + AISHA are back on home turf for their 3rd release on Soma with the Sunna EP. Following up last year’s ‘Leatherbound EP’ the pair’s collective works have brought around three new hard hitting, banging tracks that merge their love of Techno’s various disciplines into one cohesive pack.
Title track Sunna offers up the EP’s darker and more sinister tone. Heavy kicks and fierce rolling synths drive across this propellant track. Gower has a more upbeat feel but the duo keep things dance floor ready with their typically hard and fast style; layering up percussion steadily as a twisted synth hook steadily unfolds throughout. Stim closes out the EP and has the Glasgow based duo on a slightly more deeper and contemplative tip. Sturdy percussive workouts are the backbone of the track while atmospheric, morphing pads and synths take control as the soul of the track.
