Once again NovaFuture and Mark Groot will team up to premiere Mark Groot his new work. Mark Groot will release his new EP ‘IC149′ exclusively on NovaFuture. The concept is simple, Mark delivers you one track every Thursday. This time there will not only be original tracks but also remixes by other producers included.
For those who don’t know Mark Groot yet, Mark Groot is a producer and DJ based in Amsterdam. The man released already quite some EP’s, tracks and his first vinyl release will be a fact soon. Besides this Mark already played some gigs and will have his first couple international gigs soon. One to keep in mind.
His track IC149 was made on a long train ride from Berlin to Amsterdam. The sound would be best described as complex, deep and direct hitting.
The first remix of the EP is by Amsterdam-based DJ/producer and founder of the Format label Juan Sanchez. Juan is frequently on studio lockdown, having released numerous cuts on labels such as Stockholm Ltd, Wolfskuil and Drumcode Ltd. amongst many others. Aside from producing Juan performed in a wide variety of venues and festivals including Berghain, Awakenings, HYTE and Time Warp, to name but a few. Juan definitely gave his own twist to its original. Energetic and minimalistic would be the right words for it. This is what makes Juan’s remix a very effective DJ tool.
The last remix is by Deauwd. This talented Amsterdam based DJ and producer has already established some great things. His first released EP on ‘Float Records’ got picked up pretty well, with support of Ben Klock in the Boiler Room at Dekmantel Festival last year, this man is on the right track. The remix of Deauwd shows us his quality. Analog machines forming deep and hypnotizing sequences. With the instrumental influences Deauwd gave great depth to the remix.
